1lb of meth, large bag of fentanyl pills found along Gibson County road

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities seize a large amount of drugs found on the side of a road.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th, 29th, 30th Districts, on Tuesday morning, agents were contacted by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department stating a road crew discovered what they believed to be narcotics on the side of Laneview Concord Road.

Upon arrival, Drug Task Force agents seized a large bag of fentanyl pills and a pound of methamphetamine.

The Drug Task Force says the drugs could possibly be connected to a vehicle pursuit last week that went along the route before ending at a residence.

The task force says the evidence will be processed for prints and DNA evidence.
