Madison Co. commissioners move to name possible TBI lab in honor of fallen agent

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Commissioners approved a resolution Monday requesting the state name a new Tennessee Bureau of Investigation lab possibly coming to Jackson after an agent killed in the line of duty.

Commissioners want the lab to be named after Special Agent De’Greaun Frazier. Investigators say he was shot and killed in Jackson during an undercover sting operation in August.

“It’s a great thing to do for Agent Frazier and his family, and we just really wanted to show our support for that from the beginning before it ever gets to the senate floor,” Commissioner Jason Compton said.

Commissioners say the naming issue will come up in the state senate if the TBI crime lab moves to Jackson.
