Quality time with mom: Local events for Mother’s Day 2024
JACKSON, Tenn. — Behind every person is a great mom. Here are some places that will allow mothers to sit back, relax and have a good time.
On Saturday, May 11, beginning at 2 in the afternoon, Century Farm Winery will host their Mother’s Day Posh Picnic.
Michele Hughey, the social media and event coordinator at the winery, told us that there will be a lot of fun activities.
“The dressed table, that has plate settings, and there will be charcuterie, and I’ve got flowers,” Hughey said. “I’ve also partnered with one of the local tanning salons. They’ve given us packages for the moms.”
Make sure you come picture ready.
“We’re gonna have our arbor up, and there’s gonna be an opportunity, of course it’s gonna be me, but we will be taking photos,” Hughey added.
On Sunday, May 12, you have an opportunity to enjoy an evening of fine dining and fun.
East Madison Community Center is hosting an unforgettable Mother’s Day Gala.
We spoke to the acting director, Eunice Pruitte, who told us that this is a fundraiser.
“We are raising the money trying to get other rooms and trying to add some more other stuff onto the center, ’cause we need more rooms,” said Pruitte. “Everything we do now is in that one big room where we will be eating Sunday.”
She said that you can also visit them throughout the week to enjoy some of their weekly activities.
“We have fitness classes on Mondays and Wednesdays,” Pruitte added. “We started a quilting class and we also have a computer class.”
The cost of the gala is $20 per person and $5 for children seven and under.
