Henderson lawyer to appear on “Jeopardy!”

HENDERSON, Tenn.-A lawyer from Henderson will have his time in the spotlight on Thanksgiving Day.

Jay Johnson will be a contestant on the hit game show, “Jeopardy!”
Johnson said the contestants do not get to meet Alex Trebek before the show and do not get to meet with the audience either.

Johnson also said that he was not nervous since he is a lawyer, he is not shy speaking before a crowd.

“To play a game that millions of people are fans of, but that only a very tiny fraction of people even get to dip their toe into, was just kind of the best, most kind of overwhelming part of it to me,” said Johnson.

Johnson also said that he had a great time and was a wonderful experience.

The show airs Thursday at 11 a.m. on WBBJ ABC 7.
Johnson said will have a viewing party with family members.
