Police: Stabbing turns into officer-involved shooting at hospital
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Police Chief Julian Wiser said a patient stabbed a healthcare worker Thursday afternoon at Pathways Behavioral Health Services.
Police said when they were called to the scene, the situation resulted in an “officer-involved shooting.”
Both the patient and healthcare worker are being treated for their injuries. Their condition is not known at this time.
The Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and Pathways remain on lockdown following this incident.
The TBI has also been called to the scene to investigate.
