Caretaker accused of stealing checkbook from patient

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local caretaker is charged with stealing a checkbook from one of her patients.

Cecilia Manuel is accused of taking nearly $10,000 from the victim’s account by forging more than 40 checks.

She is charged with forgery and theft over $1,000. She is set to return to court Dec. 22.
