Jackson middle schoolers host winter clothing & toy drive

JACKSON, Tenn. — Students in West Tennessee collect warm clothes for children in need this winter.

northeast-toy-driveNortheast Middle School is hosting a toy drive this week as part of a community service project through the Academic Academy.

The event kicked off Monday morning and runs through Friday. The school is working with the Salvation Army to provide toys, coats, gloves and hats for children in need.

“We’re going to have coats, socks, scarves, gloves, just winter clothes in general, and then also toys,” eighth grader William Steen said.

Items can be dropped off at the school through Dec. 9. Families can send items with their students.
