No bond for man accused of threatening local judge

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Jackson man appeared in court Tuesday following threats toward Judge Christy Little.

ahmad-in-courtOmar Ahmad appeared in Hugh Harvey’s courtroom Tuesday morning. The court ordered the former doctor to undergo a mental evaluation. Ahmad is also being held without bond.

In 2014, charges against the 53-year-old were dropped after he threatened the University School of Jackson on his Facebook page. He agreed to take medication and stay away from the campus for a year, and his charges were dismissed.

Ahmad’s new charges stem from threats he made Oct. 13 on Facebook.

The post reads, “Please see it occur Christy Little is dead there as she tries to muster him to proceed. Omar.” A picture is attached to that post which shows a mental evaluation which was ordered for Ahmad.
