I-40 traffic stop leads Madison Co. deputies to 65 lbs. of marijuana
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — What started as a traffic stop for a driver following too closely resulted in a big marijuana bust.
With the help of Timo, the department’s new K-9, Madison County deputies found about 65 pounds of marijuana worth more than $120,000, according to the sheriff’s office.
The traffic stop took place on Interstate 40 near mile marker 81 in Madison County. They say the marijuana was found in suitcases in the trunk of the car.
