Woman charged with having drugs in hotel room with baby

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police on Monday arrested a mother accused of having drugs in the same hotel room where her baby was sleeping.

Police say they received an anonymous tip saying Taylor Ashley Carter’s baby needed medical attention due to drug issues.

Investigators say they found Carter on Monday in a motel room on Hollywood Boulevard.

Court papers say officers found needles, meth and marijuana inside a backpack.

They also reportedly found her baby asleep on a bed.

Carter faces multiple drug counts. She remains jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond.
