WBBJ anchor Tom Britt inducted into Tennessee Journalism Hall of Fame

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Longtime West Tennessee journalist and WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News anchor Tom Britt was inducted Thursday evening into the Tennessee Journalism Hall of Fame.

Britt was one of five people inducted during the ceremony at the Murfreesboro Association of Realtors Training Center.

Britt is a 40-year veteran of electronic media in West Tennessee with nearly 20 years of that time spend with WBBJ-TV.

Tom has also been the voice University of Tennessee Martin football and women’s basketball with the Skyhawks Sports Network for more than 30 years.

He also serves as the color analyst for UT Martin men’s basketball.

Tom currently anchors and produces the Midday, Noon and 5 p.m. weekday newscasts on WBBJ-TV.
