Cold stretch into the weekend
Weather Update: 11:00 AM Friday
Happy Friday! It’s going to be another cold day! Currently temperatures are in the mid and upper 20s under clear skies. Good news is that the wind is calm or just very light so the feel-like temps are not much cooler than the actual temps. We are slowly but surely “warming up” for the day.
This afternoon we should top out in the mid 30s. So even though we have a full day of sunshine, it’s still going to be a few degrees cooler this afternoon than yesterday. Everyone that has wanted the cold and winter like weather here, well it’s arrived and will settle into the area for the next few days.
Overnight lows tonight are also looking to fall colder than they were last night. We look to hit those teen temperatures again across the area.
The next factor in the forecast is the chance for rain on Sunday. We’ll start to warm up by the latter have of the weekend making it too warm for snow this weekend. But there is another strong frontal system that arrives midweek that the VIPIR 7 Storm Team is monitoring. This will, once again drop our afternoon high temps and bring a chance for some wintry precipitation. That is still subject to change and we’ll keep you updated!
