VFW Post 1848 host Christmas with Elvis to support local vets

JACKSON, Tenn. — Friday night VFW Post 1848 hosted a dinner and show with a very special guest. “The King” was in Jackson tonight for “Christmas with Elvis” featuring impersonator Brian Lee Howell and his band. About 90 people attended Friday night’s event to help raise funds to support local veterans. After dinner, folks showed off their best moves the dance floor .

“Everyone’s come out to have a good time,” VFW Post 1848 Commander John Harrison said. “Cold weather outside but its warm in here. Elvis has got his blue suede shoes on, so it’s fun.”

The post commander said Friday was also about remembering the soldiers who cannot be home for the holidays.
