All-Star athletes give back by helping kids who look up to them
JACKSON, Tenn.-Being one of the best athletes comes with responsibilities, such as giving back to those who look up to you.
That is exactly what the all stars from 30 different teams playing in the West Tennessee All-Star Game did Friday.
The players had options to visit several different schools in the area to interact with kids and give them a time they will never forget.
“This is an opportunity for them to learn about giving back and to understand what it means to possibly be that hero in the eyes of a young child,” said Ginger Carver, marketing and public relation specialist with Jackson-Madison County Schools.
School leaders said they hope one day the younger ones will be doing the same thing for future kids that will eventually look up to them.
