Humboldt band performs in annual Christmas concert

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Sunday afternoon Humboldt band students performed in their annual Christmas concert. Both Humboldt Jr. and Sr. High band members performed classic Christmas tunes in the school gym. Supportive parents and community members looked on as the younger students joined older band members to showcase their talents.

“For our high school band its just a time for them to be able to showcase their abilities and all the things they are learning,” Humboldt Sr. High Band Director Matthew Sanders said. “Really to but their art work on display for the whole community to see. But also to bring Christmas cheer to the community and bring some positivity as well.”

As a fundraiser the band sold cupcakes and Christmas ornaments. The band director says that money will be used to fund instrument repairs and new uniforms.
