Accused gunman in 2015 shooting appears in court

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man accused of murder in a shooting last December appeared Tuesday morning in court.

Trimon Pruitt went before Judge Kyle Atkins for the December 2015 shooting death of Tony Willoughby.

Police say the victim was shot multiple times at Allenton Heights in Jackson.

Pruitt’s lawyer asked the judge for more time to review data for the case.

Pruitt will be back in court Jan. 24.
