Cases dropped for 2 men charged with attempted murder in shooting

 

JACKSON, Tenn. — Two men charged with attempted first-degree murder in an August shooting saw their case dropped Thursday in a Jackson courtroom.

parkridge-charges-droppedThe case against co-defendants Jaquel Franklin and Jarvis Hodges was dropped after it was pushed back several times because the state was not ready.

According to court papers, Franklin punched and pistol whipped the victim on Aug. 21 before chasing and shooting him in the chest.

The victim survived the shooting and was able to identify both individuals in the case.
