Madison Co. deputies arrest 2 on package theft charges

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people who allegedly stole several packages.

Adarius Murphy and Tamyja Smith both were arrested Dec. 13 on Weaver Cove.

An affidavit states multiple packages were found in their possession, including 31 iPhone chargers that had been reported stolen the same day.

Both are charged with theft over $500.

Both remain in custody in lieu of $10,000 bond.
