Wreck in north Jackson caused traffic delays
JACKSON, Tenn. — A mid-morning crash in north Jackson caused delays for travelers.
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to the intersection of the 45-Bypass and Channing Way after a wreck caused a pick up truck to overturn.
According to police, only two vehicles were involved in this accident with no major injuries reported.
The driver of the overturned truck was able to crawl out of the truck and was transported to the hospital for evaluation. He is expected to be okay.
Officers directed traffic until the scene was clear.
A witness tells WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News that he believes the driver of the car ran the red light which led to the impact and the truck being overturned.
JPD says the cause of the accident is under investigation.
