Woman arrested after firing shots at convenience store
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Memphis woman is in custody in Jackson after shots were fired at a convenience store.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Raven Nicole Brewer has been charged with reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
The charges stem from an altercation between multiple females that took place around 11 p.m. Saturday at the Shell Gas Station located at 299 Highway 45 Bypass.
The Sheriff’s Office says when officers arrived, Brewer was found inside the business with a handgun in her possession and she was taken into custody without incident.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, an investigation determined Brewer had discharged two rounds from a handgun within the store premises, however no one was struck by gunfire.
The Sheriff’s Office shared that Brewer also admitted that she was under the influence of both alcohol and marijuana during the incident.
Brewer is currently being held on a $50,000 bond at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.
