Roy Laverne “Bubba” Morris, Jr.

Roy Laverne “Bubba” Morris, Jr., age 60, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Roy was born March 25, 1964 in Somerville, the son of Ruby Solley Morris and the late Roy Laverne Morris, Sr. He was employed as a construction builder for many years and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Morris is survived by his mother, Ruby Morris; his sister, Carol Ann Morris; his brother, Lynn Morris (Denise); and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jamie Marie Morris and his brother, James Allen Morris.

A visitation for Mr. Morris will be from 12 to 1 P.M. Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Memorial Services will be at 1 P.M. Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville, officiating. Interment will be private.
