North Parkway Middle School holds college and career expo

JACKSON, Tenn. — North Parkway Middle School held a college and career expo this morning, May 17th.

The engaging and hands-on event gave scholars the chance to experience various career fields as they explore future possibilities.

Each scholar took a career interest survey and was able to talk to professionals about paths that interested them.

Principal Ladonna Braswell shares that middle school is an important time to give kids direction before high school.

She says it’s a prime time for career exploration.

“It’s ok to change your mind, fifty times if you would like, as long as you have a plan for your future. That’s what we believe in so it warms my heart to know that we, at North Parkway, are preparing our scholars for the college or career of their choice and we truly believe that,” said Braswell.

Braswell shares that she was excited for North Parkway Middle School to have had this opportunity.
