Non-profit hosts fundraiser event to raise money for St. Jude

JACKSON, Tenn. — One annual walk is returning to raise money for those in need.

The Top Ladies of Distinction’s St. Jude walk is tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The location is Shirlene Mercer Walking Trail Park at 800 East Chester Street in Jackson.

Every dollar raised goes directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Brenda Locke, Committee Chair for the St. Jude walk, believes that ‘who much is given, much is required’.

“We are so thankful for the opportunity to actually be able to do things in the committee, but also to bring information and let people know, we do care and we’re doing everything we can to show that,” said Locke.

The recommended donation is $20 dollars for adults and $10 dollars for children, but if you don’t have the money to spare, come on out to support and learn.
