Bee Fest returns to Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park

PINSON, Tenn.—A local state park buzzes with fun, bringing light to an important part of nature.

Bee Fest took place today from 10 this morning until 3 this afternoon at Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park.

The family-friendly event offered several activities for the public to enjoy.

There was a virtual 5k, along with a craft fair.

Several vendors offered items like bee related crafts, honey, sweet treats, kettle corn and more.

All proceeds from the virtual 5k will go to the Honeybee Project and the Friends of Pinson Mounds organizations.

“That money helps us to raise our honey bees and also our friends group here at Pinson Mounds State Park,” said Dedra Ekberg, Park Ranger.

Bee Fest is an annual event for the state park.
