Mrs. Betty Maggard

Mrs. Betty Maggard, 82, of Union City passed away 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.  Brother Terry Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow in Stanley’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Betty was born July 11, 1941, in Obion County, daughter of the late Nolie and Pauline (Nash) Burress.  She married Thomas Maggard March 11, 1960.  He survives.  She was an avid golfer at many courses around the area.

She is also survived by one sister, Juanita Stone of Union City; two brothers, Finis Burress (Judy) of Union City and Nolie Burress of Martin; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Zoe.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Leoda Kemp.
