Shiloh National Military Park to host free “History Timeline” event
SHILOH, Tenn. — Shiloh National Military Park is set to commemorate Memorial Day with a series of special events.
“In remembrance” begins Saturday, May 25 and ends Monday, May 27.
Living historians will depict a military timeline on the front lawn of the Shiloh Battlefield Visitor Center.
The timeline will feature uniforms, equipment, and weapons from the revolutionary war through World War II.
Remembrance ceremonies will be Monday, May 27, in the Shiloh National Cemetery.
Plus, the public is invited to view a temporary Memorial Day exhibit and to add names of their veteran family members to a Memorial wall.
“We also have firing demonstrations of all the shoulder arms at 11am and 2pm each day,” said Chris Mekow, Park Ranger.
