Thomas Media holds 9th annual Spring Career Expo

JACKSON, Tenn. — Thomas Media held their 9th annual Spring Career Expo today, May 28, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

This was a free event open to the public.

Hundreds of positions were available at this event and you were also able to talk to more than 50 employers.

Participants had the chance to bring copies of their resumes and interview on the spot with the job of their choice.

You could also reschedule an interview for another time if that worked better for you.

Katie Doherty, the event coordinator for Thomas Media, says they love bringing this event to the Jackson community.

“All these positions, from medical, manufacturing, military. We had the Jackson Fire and Police departments out here. Some professional and continuing education, so we had a wide variety to offer to the community,” said Doherty.

“I am happy to have such amazing opportunities out there with Dixie or CoreCivic or even at the fire department,” said Kaleigh Treadway, an expo participant.

Doherty says they have the career expo every May and September.
