Milan woman charged with sex trafficking of a minor
MILAN, Tenn. — A Milan woman that has been charged with sex trafficking of a minor is now behind bars.
Investigators with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office acted on a tip that initiated an investigation this month into possible sex trafficking of a minor.
According to the affidavit, this incident happened on an unknown date in 2023.
Deputies were led to the residence of 26-year-old Brittany Weeks on Bogle Loop Road in Milan.
The affidavit also stated that a white 14-year-old female said that she and Weeks drove from Week’s residence, with Week’s being the driver, to Osceola, Arkansas, for vacation.
When arriving in Osceola, the defendant took the juvenile to a motel.
The affidavit states that’s when Weeks told the juvenile to go to the rooms and have sex with men who were staying at the motel.
The juvenile stated that she would get $200 for each room and that she went to 10 rooms.
The affidavit also included that the juvenile said she gave all of the money to Brittany Weeks.
Weeks is being charged with one count of trafficking for commercial sex and using motor vehicle.
Weeks is being held at the Gibson County Correctional Complex on a $500,000 bond.
Her next court appearance will be June 4th at 1:00 p.m.
Officials say this is currently an active and ongoing investigation.
