Rockabillys Stadium hosts Teacher Appreciation Night

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Rockabillys are off to a great start in the season as they defeated Full Country Rhythm from Nashville Tuesday night at Rockabillys stadium.

Wednesdays game featured a Teacher Appreciation Night presented by Simon & Schuster and it was also the Rockabillys’ first Texas Roadhouse Family Welcome Wednesday.

All teachers were admitted for a dollar and could enter their names for fun prizes to be awarded all night long.

One lucky teacher’s name was drawn at the end of the night for a 500-dollar check for classroom supplies.

Also thanks to Texas Roadhouse, an entire family of four was admitted for only 20 dollars.

Two teachers who received awards tonight explained how great it felt to be recognized and the importance of all educational faculty.

“I got ‘Teacher of The Year’ award and it feels great, I love my students, I love my school,” said Chelsea Thomas, teacher at South Side High School.

“I received ‘Most Inspiring Award’. Many of us are inspiring bus drivers, cafeteria workers, teachers, administrators– A small piece of the big puzzle,” said Darrell Evans, teacher at Jackson Academic STEAM Academy.

Tonight the Rockabillys took on the Cape Catfish from Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
