1 dead, many injured in Carroll County wreck
CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — First responders were called to a wreck late Monday evening that resulted in a death and numerous injuries.
According to a preliminary report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 11:21 p.m. on Clarksburg Road in Carroll County.
The report shows that a collision occurred in the roadway with a Chevy Express van occupied by 10 individuals, and a Dodge Ram with a single occupant — a Tennessee resident in his 20s.
WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters reported multiple medical helicopters were at the scene.
According to THP, 51-year-old Angel Flores, a passenger of the van, died as a result of the crash. A THP spokesperson shared Tuesday afternoon that this is the only confirmed fatality at this time.
Additionally, the driver of the van and six other passengers were injured, according to the report.
The report shows the driver of the Dodge Ram was not injured.
According to the report, the driver of the van could face charges pending the outcome of the investigation. The report lists each of the van occupants’ location of residence as “unknown.”
