Carnegie exhibit features memorabilia from original House of Blues

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local attraction may be considered one of the best kept secrets.

The Carnegie Museum has some exhibits and attractions you may not have even known about.

Located on East College Street in downtown Jackson, you can discover things about Jackson and West Tennessee music that make the region unique.

It’s the Legends of Tennessee Music Museum. From rockabilly, the blues, country, and rock and roll, each genre has something for everyone.

Becky Fly with the Carnegie Museum says you need to stop by and check out their latest exhibit.

“Many people know Isaac Tigrett started the Hard Rock Café and the House of Blues. Our new exhibit comes from furnishings from the original House of Blues in New Orleans, and it’s wonderful folk art,” said Becky Fly, volunteer coordinator for the Legends of Tennessee Music Museum.
