Latest buzz! Ag Center to celebrate Pollinator Week with exciting events

JACKSON, Tenn. — Summer is almost here which means you might be spending time out in the garden or in flower beds.

One local resource is here to help you.

The West Tennessee Ag Research and Education Center on Airways Boulevard in west Jackson has some upcoming events.

The Perennial and Flowering Shrubs Sale is set for Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Another event coming up next week is ‘Garden Buzz: the Celebration of Pollinators’.

“Pollinator Week is the week of June 17th, so starting next week, and our pollinator, our ‘Garden Buzz,’ is on Tuesday which is the 18th starting at noon, and so we’ll be giving away free plants. There’ll be children’s activities, there’ll be Master Gardeners set up, there’ll be bee keepers here and TVA as well, our sponsor for our ‘Garden Buzz’. We invite you to come out out. It’s a free event,” said Jason Reeves, horticulturist at UT Gardens, Jackson.
