2 arrested on drug, weapons charges following search of home

GADSDEN, Tenn. — A search warrant served at a West Tennessee home leads to the arrest of two individuals.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th, 29th, 30th Districts, 60-year-old Stenson Hughes and 40-year-old April Grimes were arrested Wednesday evening.

The Drug Task Force says agents served a search warrant at a home in Gadsden on Wednesday in regards to a drug investigation.

During the search, the task force says agents seized more than 2 ounces of methamphetamine, a semi-automatic handgun and scales.

As a result, both Hughes and Grimes were taken into custody. According to the task force, Hughes, who is a previously convicted felon, and Grimes are facing felony drug and weapons charges.

Records available online indicate both currently remain in custody at the Crockett County jail.
