The collaborative outreach had a variety of agencies represented and services provided.

There were food supplies, housing resources, and hygiene products available.

The goal of the event was to make connections with as many unhoused persons in order to connect them with resources and follow up with coordinated case management.

There was also a satellite clinic set up at RIFA to help with behavioral health and primary care.

“We’re helping people with medications. We’re giving them healthcare, checking their blood pressures, giving them full assessments and physicals on the bus today which is very important to have outreach to the homeless– unsheltered that don’t have regular healthcare,” said Vicki Lake, director of community development for West Tennessee.

Bright pink cards were also given out with a long list of first response numbers in Madison County.

The community connections cards had resources listed regarding different topics like housing, transportation, food insecurity, health services, legal services and more.
