William Russell Cruce, Jr.
William Russell Cruce, Jr., 75, of Rives passed away 3:15 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home with Guy Revell officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers will be Jayson Jackson, Jessica Thornton, Matthew Wiseman, Karl Jackson, David Vance and Drake Cruce.
William was born July 26, 1948, in Fulton County, Kentucky, son of the late William Russell Cruce, Sr. and the late Martha Rebecca (McMackins) Cruce. He married Linda (Brown) Cruce May 5, 1967. She preceded him in death August 11, 2023. William served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Kohler in Union City and then was the owner and operator of C & C Janitorial.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Jackson and husband Karl of Union City and Rebecca McElroy of Rives; one son, Doyle Cruce and wife Lee Ann of Martin; six grandchildren, Jessica Thornton, Jayson Jackson and wife Lindsey, Drake Cruce and Matthew Wiseman and wife Ashley all of Union City, Rachel Cruce of Louisville, Kentucky and Bella Cruce of Martin; two great grandchildren, Emma Jackson and Ryker Wiseman both of Union City; two sisters, Martha Frances Brown of Fulton, Kentucky and Peggy Cruce of Florida; and two brothers, James Cruce of Union City and Danny Cruce of Fulton, Kentucky.
