Visitors continue to view the ‘Field of Flags’
JACKSON, Tenn.—Visitors continue to pay their respects at the 18th annual Field of Flags in Jackson.
Over 200 “Betsy Ross” flags were placed earlier this month by the Jackson-Madison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The flags were placed at Liberty Garden Park and Arboretum located at 24 Channing Way in Jackson.
The flags are flown to honor the Revolutionary War ancestors of Jackson and Madison County.
On the heels of Flag Day, visitors were seen viewing the flags and remembering those who fought for our country.
“There are 205 flags on the field, including one for Lafayette and Bernardo De Galvez this year,” said Gwen McCaffrey McReynolds, chairman Field of Flags.
The Field of Flags will continue to be displayed until after Independence Day.
