Fundraiser to benefit the family of James Wray

JACKSON, Tenn. — An upcoming fundraiser will support a family’s expenses following a tragic loss.

A benefit for the widow and children of James Wray will be held Thursday, June 20 at the West Tennessee Farmers Market in downtown Jackson.

Wray went missing on February 6 after dropping his wife and children off at school. He was last seen on security footage walking towards the tree line near the Tennessee River at Fat Man’s Market in Linden. Wray’s body was later found in a nearby pond on Easter Sunday.

Starting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Cajun Cooker Darrell Hicks will be selling his famous ribs with all of the trimmings.

All proceeds will benefit Jessica Wray and her children to help pay for expenses. Donations will also be accepted.
