Pedestrian killed on Highway 45, THP confirms

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities confirm a pedestrian was killed in the roadway over the weekend.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 50-year-old Steven Brewer was killed on Highway 45 East on Sunday night.

A preliminary report shows the incident occurred around 10:23 p.m. just north of Bradford in Gibson County.

According to the report, Brewer entered the roadway on foot and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The vehicle is identified as a GMC Terrain that was driven by a Tennessee teen.

The report confirms Brewer was also a Tennessee resident.

According to the report, the driver of the Terrain is not facing any charges related to this incident.
