UT Gardens celebrates Pollinator Week with ‘Garden Buzz’ event
JACKSON, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee Gardens held their ‘Garden Buzz: the Celebration of Pollinators’ event today.
This event was in honor of National Pollinator Week, an annual celebration in support of pollinator health.
Garden Buzz was hosted at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center.
Participants enjoyed a variety of seasonal activities including a garden tour, arts and crafts for the kids, honey tastings, and booths.
“If you were unable to attend today, you can visit your local nursery and garden center. Ask them for native plants that they might offer for sale that are gonna support our pollinators in your home landscape,” said Jason Reeves, horticulturist at UT Gardens, Jackson.
The first 100 attendees at today’s event received a pollinator party pack featuring flowers they can plant at home.
