Local veteran-owned business recognized by West TN Veterans Coalition

JACKSON, Tenn. — The West Tennessee Veterans Coalition recognized a local veteran-owned business at their monthly meeting this morning.

Navy veteran Shawn Riggs’ Bicycle City was honored this month.

Bicycle City is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday in northwest Jackson.

The store started in 1972 and was bought by Riggs in 2017.

They service bicycles, wheelchairs, scooters and more. They also sell brands such as Haro, Masi, Felt, and many others.

“The biggest things that I see selling right now are the e-bikes have really gone crazy. People are really taking to those. I’m probably selling as many of those as I am regular bicycles anymore,” said Riggs.

The West Tennessee Veterans Coalition is proud to recognize veteran-owned businesses and encourages the residents of West Tennessee to support them.
