Fields signs with Skyhawks

DYERSBURG, Tenn — Dyersburg’s Deashun Fields inked his national letter of intent to go play football at the University Of Tennessee at Martin.
He was surrounded with family and teammates as he signed his letter.  Fields says he chose the Skyhawks because they were the first school to recruit him and he could stay close to family.
I asked Fields to describe the feeling of today, and what he has to do once he steps on campus.

“I’m excited about it, what the future holds for me, everything,” Fields said.  “I know I got to work hard, it’s a lot of competition at the college level, so I just got to be ready to work.”

At Dyersburg Fields was a first team all region member his junior and senior year. The region offensive MVP his junior and senior year. A team captain his senior year, and a all state member. He rushed for more than one thousand yards in back to back seasons.
