Annual HAM Radio Field Day held in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Tenn.—This weekend the amateur radio field day was held in Humboldt.
The event took place at the West Tennessee Healthcare Conference Center and was a 24 hour event beginning at 1pm on Saturday and ending on Sunday at 1pm.
The field day invites amateur radio operators to operate HF radios under the guidance of licensed personnel.
The radio operators have the opportunity to take part in one of the biggest emergency preparedness events, as the exercise is one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. with around 30,000 operators participating.
Some of the attendees include: personal storm spotters, ham radio operators and more.
The ARRL Field Day is an annual event.
