Sacred Heart of Jesus High School to close following financial hardship

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local high school announces they’re closing.

According to a post made on Facebook Thursday by Sacred Heart of Jesus High School’s Board Chair, Sam Davis, the high school’s closing is forthcoming.

Davis stated teachers, staff and families were informed of the upcoming closure Thursday.

Davis says that the school has faced enormous financial challenges over the past few years and that the board members have worked hard to raise money to avoid closure.

Unfortunately, Davis says the school was unsuccessful in securing a grant that would’ve kept the school open another year.

Davis stated that the board sincerely thanks those that have supported Sacred Heart of Jesus since its founding in 2004.
