Man charged with trying to steal over $1,000 in items from Wal-Mart
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is charged with trying to steal over $1,000 worth of items from Wal-Mart in north Jackson.
Joshua Taylor is accused of trying to steal two HP computers and other items Tuesday afternoon from the store on Emporium Drive, according to an affidavit.
A store loss prevention employee told police Taylor put the computers and a suitcase filled with other merchandise in a shopping cart and tried to leave without paying.
The employee told police Taylor had removed the zip tie from the suitcase, put other items inside, and then put a zip tie he brought inside with him back onto the suitcase.
The total value of the merchandise is listed at $1,769.
