One event raises money for an important cause
JACKSON, Tenn. —A local winery makes the perfect venue for a special fundraising event.
Alzheimer’s Tennessee along with 45 South Jeep Offroad held a Jeep Scavenger Hunt at Century Farm Winery in Jackson today.
The event began just after 10 this morning with a silent auction and registration. Participants were then sent off to hunt for clues around iconic locations in Jackson.
The hunt concluded at 12:30 this afternoon and prizes were given to the first, second and third persons to return to the winery. Contestants were required to provide images documenting their journey and number of clues found.
The fundraiser also included a vehicle decorating contest, live music, lunch on the lawn, and purple cotton candy.
“All of the funds that is raised here in the West Tennessee area, and also across the state, stay local so they benefit the families that we serve across the state,” said Amanda Leitch, West Tennessee Regional Director, Alzheimer’s Tennessee.
Last year’s event raised a little 5,000 dollars for Alzheimer’s Tennessee. They hope to surpass that with this year’s event.
