Hillcrest Baptist Church hosts “Lord’s Supper”
DYERSBURG, Tenn.—Today, one local church hosted a special service.
Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dyersburg welcomed guests for a unique service this morning.
The “Lord’s Supper” was held today at the church. The service included a special message from Pastor Shawn Allred and worship music. Following the message from Pastor Allred, the congregation participated in a special ritual of the “Lord’s Supper,” which is a symbolic act of obedience to the Lord.
During this time, church members partake in the consumption of bread and fruit of the vine to memorialize his death and in anticipation of the second coming of the Lord.
The church also took time during today’s service to observe Independence Day.
“I think in our day and time, church is so important. You know, if you’re not plugged into a church family, find somewhere to get plugged in,” Pastor Allred said.
Hillcrest Baptist Church will host a Back To School Bash coming up on July 28 at 6 in the evening.
