Dry And Pleasant Weekend Followed By Storms From Beryl Next Week

Saturday Wx Update

A cold front brought scattered storms on Friday but now we’ll benefit from the cooler air as we head into the weekend. Rain will be located far to our south along the frontal boundary, meanwhile, We’ll be under mostly sunny skies and cooler temperatures for the weekend. Beryl will approach the Texas coast and turn in our general direction by mid week. We’ve got all the details right here!

TODAY:

Mostly cloudy through early afternoon, then, becoming mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s and light northeast breezes around 5 to 10 mph.

High pressure will move in and save us a great weekend ahead with highs only in the upper 80s today and around 90 on Sunday.  Tropical storm Beryl is in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to intensify quickly into a Category 1 hurricane by mid to late Saturday. Beryl will begin to move towards the Texas coast around early Monday. In the long range track, Beryl will weaken and get caught up in the mid level flow from west to east being pushed towards west Tennessee by around Tuesday.

TONIGHT:

Mostly clear skies and lows around 66 with calm winds.

SUNDAY:

Mostly sunny skies and highs around 90. Monday, A few scattered storms will be likely by Monday afternoon with highs in the lower 90s. Rainfall will start to add up by Tuesday as the remnants of Beryl pushes our direction. Scattered storms will become more concentrated by Tuesday afternoon with rain heavy at times into Wednesday.

Winds will gust at times as high as 35 mph on Wednesday with cooler temperatures in the lower 80s. Rainfall totals could range between 1 and 3 inches by early Thursday. Behind the system cooler air will be wrapped into on the northward side bringing us some cooler and drier weather late week.
