City of Jackson announces road repairs for Highland Avenue

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some road repairs are on the way in the Hub City.

The City of Jackson Street Department will begin making repairs on Highland Avenue beginning Monday tonight.

Public Works Director Austin Clark says they’ve located around 50 areas on Highland Avenue that need repair and they are asking the public to be patient as they work to make the necessary repairs for safer travels on the road.

Crews will begin working nightly starting at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.

“Motorists, just be patient with us. We’re going to be out here all week. We’re just trying to make it safe,” said Clark.

Also, pothole repair will continue in the daytime hours throughout the city.
