Ritz 3 in Milan hosts free community movie night

MILAN, Tenn. — Tuesday night, a free community movie was hosted at the Ritz 3 movie theater on Main Street in Milan.

Featured on the big screen, a showing of the 1985 movie “The Goonies.”

Organizers of the event say showing these older movies brings back great memories.

“We wanna bring people in. We want the community to come together. We want people to, especially nowadays, there’s so much division , we want everybody to come in and come together and have a good time and enjoy these movies together,” said Mike Milam, organizer for the event.

Attendees to Tuesday’s showing had a chance to win door prizes after the movie with proof of ticket.

Organizers say another free movie is scheduled next month at the Milan Ritz 3 with “The Great Outdoors” starring Dan Akroyd and John Candy.
