Jackson Police Chief delivers speech at rotary club meeting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson’s Chief of Police, Thom Corley, spoke at Wednesday’s Jackson Rotary Club meeting.

He shared the focuses of the police department in the community and internally.

Corley spoke on juvenile crime and the issue of fentanyl.

He also mentioned the department’s focus on quality of life issues such as potholes, speeding and littering.

Corley highlighted the importance of recruiting and retention then spoke on technological advancements.

“We’re just gonna continue to grow with our personnel and our training and also with our technology that we can use to help leverage what we do on the street, camera technology, those types of things so we can continue to be progressive in the way that we do law enforcement,” said Chief Corley.

Held at first united Methodist Church, this was Jackson Rotary Club’s first meeting with new president Carolyn Vaughan.
